After inspecting 85 houses we found this jewel (now Makarios B&B) next to the golf course.
Both of us love the people and the guests who have enriched our lives tremendously over the years.
We started in Jeffreys Bay and moved down the coast, ending up in Langebaan.
Enjoy a luxurious home away from home with generous West Coast hospitality. When Barend (my husband) retired, we were looking for a suitable place on the coastline. We started in Jeffreys Bay and moved down the coast, ending up in Langebaan. The main building was only 60% finished at the time we made an offer to the builder. In May of the following year, Barend started with the building of the guest house. We welcomed our first guests for the season in December that same year. Both of us love the people and the guests who have enriched our lives tremendously over the years. We are truly blessed and to God be all the glory for His grace. Listed below are links to just a few of the wonderful activities that are readily available to guests staying at Makarios due to the property’s close proximity to Langebaan. A five minute drive takes you straight to the calm waters of the breathtaking Langebaan lagoon. The lagoon is a paradise for water sports, angling and bathing, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Makarios offers a choice of three luxury double rooms, each with an en-suite shower, and a twin bedded bedroom with en-suite shower. Every unit has a private entrance, a colour TV and tea/coffee facilities. A self-help continental/English breakfast is served on the patio or in the lounge. Experience an atmosphere of tranquility in this lovely blue room with a view of a Fynbos garden. The spacious room is cool in the summer, warm in the winter and is equipped with a comfortable double bed with luxury bedding. A spacious, luxury twin bedded room that is nice and warm during winter and cool during summer. A lovely spacious room equipped with a double bed with luxury bedding. The room leads out to a patio where you can relax and enjoy the silence. A lovely, spacious room is equipped with a double bed with luxury bedding.
